N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I've looked at various Methven sheets around this date and have been unable to determine which "Mr Shaw"; also the word at bottom right of label might be G Munro - any thoughts?

Bottom right - "G McNab". B&B have Gilbert McNab 1815-1859 (b. Edinburgh). MANCH has some of his plants ex herb Warrington Museum.
He was a Fellow BSEdin. as was his contemporary Dr John Shaw (b. Boston) (see Annual Report & Procs BSE passim).

Dr George James Shaw (b. Edinburgh) was another contemporary FBSE.
