N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

It seems likely, but not certain, that Falls of Dee and Garachary Falls apply to the same location.

The OS map:

OS Grid reference NN944991

...shows the River Dee rising from the Wells of Dee and, after ~700m, falling over the Falls of Dee. It is then marked as Allt a'Gharbh-choire (Burn of the Rough Corrie) before it joins a second tributary, the Allt na Lairig Ghru, which itself rises in the Pools of Dee.

Anglicised versions of these names appear in the Ordnance Gazetteer of Scotland (1884-1885), Volume 2, where the first 2¾ miles (4.4km) of the River Dee are referred to as the Garachary Burn, before its confluence with the Larig Burn:

To accommodate the above length of 4.4km the name Garachary Burn would have to apply to the full length from the Wells to the confluence, although the modern OS 1:50,000 map is a bit ambiguous as to whether Allt a'Gharbh-choire can be applied to the Falls of Dee themselves.
