N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

About this day Tetley was at Tunbridge Wells. The Maidstone (Kent) directory for 1851 mentions a 'Model School'. Does anyone know of this? Searching the web for 'model school' only demonstrates the change in meaning of words! What was Tetley doing in a hedge near a model school?

As I now know that Tetley was teaching science in Enniskillen at this time I think the location here must be the Enniskillen Model School HERE (6-digit ref: H243436).

It is remarkable that Tetley's herbarium has Orchis morio and Trifolium micranthum from Tunbridge Wells dated the next day, suggesting the contribution of another collector. It seems that many cases of Tetley as collector have been inferred from the handwriting on labels, which may be doubtful for those distant from Norther Ireland in "term time", whatever that might be!
