There are many h@h sheets of 'W H Pearsall' from around the UK, notably the Lake District. They have been variously assigned to Prof William Harold Pearsall 1891 - 1964 (in various versions of his name) and to William Harrison Pearsall 1860 - 1936. Has anyone found a way of distinguishing these collectors' sheets? I've found none later than 1936

Father (Harrison) and son (Harold), Oxford Dictionary of National Biography: "Pearsall, William Harold (1891-1964), ecologist and botanist, was born at Stourbridge, Worcestershire, on 23 July 1891, the only son and second of the three children of William Harrison Pearsall, schoolmaster and Methodist lay preacher, and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Green." Could be difficult to tease apart!

Dictionary Of British And Irish Botantists says that father botanised in the Lake District and was an authority on pond weeds. Collection at Oxford and SLBI. Son, however, also noted for interest in aquatic plants, and the English lakes!
