Just a quick note...

there's currently no way to record precise grid references given on sheets. This is an omission that I will correct, but for now please record any grid reference in the locality notes field (either old-style e.g. 34/312305 or modern OS references are fine).

Please omit any spaces or hyphens, i.e. SJ835982 rather than SJ 835982 or SJ835-982- I will try to use an automated search to find grid references, this task will be far more easy and reliable if references are written in a consistent format.

Thank you to everyone who's included grid references already. These will be assimilated and made proper use of eventually.

Tom,

are the grid references associated with the specimen or the site? For example, is a site currently has the grid reference SL12 and I know that specimen comes from SL111222, will all the specimens previously associated with the site at SL12 now all have the grid reference SL111222?

SL111222 would only be associated with the single specimen.
