N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Thompson's label says 'ex herb Stretch'. This may have been John Cliffe Stretch who was vicar of St Swithin, Worcester, at the time Thompson was curate at St Nicholas, Worcester (1845-1854). For more about Thompson see http://www.cradleylinks.com/wandering_vicar/html

Is my suggestion wrong? Was Stretch the auctioneer? see http://www.geni.com/people/John-Cliffe-Stretch/6000000003180768083
