N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Flitwick being M A Brooks' home area, that may be what she means by labelling 'Locality'. The printed label however has an unusual code for the location - '212' or 'L12' ?

I think you are right about the locality being Flitwick. Other MS labels are similar, but with "Flitwick" appearing to have been added later. I have sometimes wondered about the possibility of the labels having been edited after her death by her grieving father.

The number may be a collection number. Contemporary herbaria often had an associated catalogue or index.

The typed labels on Miss Brooks's sheets can always be ignored.
