If you look at King's other plants collected at about the same time you will see that the site is much more likely to be in Norfolk or Essex.

For what it's worth, the Roman River near Colchester reaches the sea at Fingringhoe, a gravelly area and part of the Roman port area - however there is no other record known from N E Essex of either U minor or U gallii.

'The Roman Camp' / Beacon Hill, near Beeston Regis TG185415, is central to the small area of Norfolk where King collected at the time
