N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I can't find any reference to such a place as Wychford, including among specimens collected at this time

Could be possible; I see one specimen collected there in 1889,

At SP3233 there is Whichford Hill Farm and across the road (the boundary of VC23 Oxfordshire/VC38 Warwickshire) Wychford Lodge Farm!

Under the combined pressure of my two colleagues, I'm happy to go for this site, which is between Shipston-on Stour and Hook Norton, SP3233

D M Heath was collecting in the area (e,g. Little Compton) at this time and some of his labels are in a similar typed format, some unattributed.

That seems extremely likely - Little Compton is not too far, and the 2 Heath specimens in the previous week are from there, so once again I concede
