'Lough Goura', King's Co. (= Offlay) judging from Praeger's other collections this day should be near Banagher, N0015. Might be a mistranscription of Lough Boora, ~5km E of Cloghan, and 10km from Banagher, N1517, now drained.

Although Praeger's Itineraries say 'L. Coura (Praeger has "Goura")', "Information on Areas of Scientific Interest in An Foras Forbartha files" [pdf] (1992) mentions "Lough Boora mesolithic site, Praeger records", and describes Lough Boora (40ha, Grid Ref. N1618, scientific importance: botanical and archaeological), thus: "The Lough Boora site is a former peatland lake, approximately 40 ha. in area, which was drained by Bord na Móna during the development of the surrounding bog in 1951."
