N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

In Cumberland 'The Scaur' seems to occur at Longtown, and at Etterby in Carlisle - neither of these near 1500 ft, and presumably elsewhere

In THE MOUNTAIN FLORA OF LAKELAND [pdf] (D. A. Ratcliffe, 1958) a table "DISTRIBUTION OF MONTANE PLANTS IN LAKELAND AND OTHER MOUNTAIN REGIONS" quotes the Cumberland mountains Helvellyn, Scafell, Pillar, Gable-Honsiter, Bowfell, and High Raise as sites where Saussurea alpina occurs at heights of at least 1500ft.

Scafell is often written as Scaw-fell. Could the location here be 'The Scaw' or 'The Scaws'?
