There is a ref to 'e. coll. Rev David Davies of Evesham' on the sheet as well as to 'Hurtmore Dene', but there is only one specimen and a capsule, neither of which is labelled 'e'

e could mean ex, ie ex collection / herbarium. A stain on the paper makes me wonder if on the right was a second specimen?

Better late than never!

A definition of 'e coll' appears in a manual from the Natural History Museum, Oslo, as "e coll. (e collectione)" = 'from the collection'.

'e. coll. Rev. David Davis of Evesham' on all his sheets.

Uncommon on herbarium sheets but often used on geological specimens.
