N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Hi Keith,
With sheets like this where there is complex info that doesn't easily fit other fields properly I'd probably tend to include the info in the notes field. It's not clear cut how when this is appropriate though - but it's worth ensuring that the info appears somewhere so it's probably best to avoid editing information out of the notes field which is not included elsewhere.

Ideally I should add a separate determination notes field - something that I'll look in to doing.

regards,

Tom
