Grid ref. given is near Swindon, Wiltshire. Even if eastings and northings were switched, this would be West Sussex not Middlesex. Date assume to be 1965 as grid references didn't exist in 19th century

Looking at other specimens of C L Snell it is clear that they were putting the wrong letters on their grid references. They should have been TQ not SU.
