N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Chris,

Thank you for pointing me to the interesting back history. On the salix specimen attributed to H.H. Haines, if indeed it is he, I think there may be a mistake as to place. I know of no Llyn Cogan in Montgomeryshire, and neither does the OS. On the other hand, there is a Glyn Cogan at SJ136 030. This is very near Manafon, of R.S.Thomas fame. Might the specimen refer to there? The first letter looks more like a G to me, rather than an L.

Best wishes,

John
