N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Can I please ask the experts for a view, please: the OS search engine gives the Garth wood just below Pentyrch (and opposite Castell Coch). Audus knew the area because there is a record of his for Garth Mountain, star of a Hugh Grant film. But he doesn't say Glam. and there are probably lots of woods by the innumerable Garths.

I'm sure you are right. Garth Wood SSSI at ST125821 is part of Cardiff Beech Woods SAC. Audus was a lecturer at Cardiff University at the time and if you look at what he was up to in May 1937, he didn't stray far from Cardiff (at Kenfig Burrows most of the time).
