'Cumberland' is in fact Cleveland; see my recent post regarding Scirpus sylvaticus. The date is 7mo - septimo, i.e. seventh (month) or July - 1852. The 'WM' stands for William Mudd.
Try googling 'Pinching Thorpe' and you get Pinchinthorpe near Guisborough in Cleveland.
The label says "ponds near", not 'near ponds'.
