N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I cannot make sense of the place details of specimen one.

Others may have a better idea but I would say, "Pealea Lane, late "Hamp Wood", in the wide thicket-like hedge skirting the stream which divides Hamp high fields from the meadows." Not much use now, I imagine. More importantly, the sheet has a collection date - 07/05/1850- and a collector, Thomas Clark. It might also be a good idea to record that it passed through H.S.Thompson's hands. There is a handwritten note from him. The writing is the same as on specimen 2.

Dear john
Many thanks for that I agree, it always makes sense when somebody points it out.
I had noted the date but got tied up in the place.
