Hi,
Last Sunday I had a set of Herb Watch sheets to look at including two of Ley's, with multiple specimens of Sax stellaris on each sheet. It turned out that they were duplicates, one of which has been deleted or replaced (by the other?) but as the specimen number is not on the sheet documentation itself (is it?) I seem to have edited the deleted one instead of the extant one.
The sheets are 272881 and 272963.
I think I maybe made a mistake, but could it not be made clearer? I posted a feedback request but though it says there is a reply I failed to find it - and, if a sheet is deleted or replaced, could it not be removed to make life easier? Thanks

As far as I can tell you edited the extant version - the sheet you edited (272963) is here. (I think it is impossible to edit deleted sheets - that is certainly my intention). The deleted sheet should also not have appeared in the watchlist email - I'll try to find out how that happened.
The way the sheets are displayed on the message board post is very confusing - it's hard to tell which sheet the 'deleted' message refers to - but in this case it is fortunately not the one you edited. I'll try to improve the formatting and avoid displaying superfluous deleted entries.
The final problem is the the 'reply' to your message was in fact your own comment - so I also need to prevent that happening.
Sorry about all these problems, and thanks for highlighting them.
regards,

Deleted specimens are now excluded from watchlist reports and from posts on the message board (except where the post only refers to a deleted specimen). |
