The Birmingham typed labels are full of mistakes, and it is certainly possible the year was copied wrongly. For such an interesting specimen, it is frustrating to wonder what happened to the original label? I noticed that A gothica is not in Stace 2nd ed, so looked in CTW 2nd ed 1962, where it is also not listed, but under A norvegica ssp anglica (a vague note but could imply the specimen is this species) is stated '1. Quite distinct from A. gothica Fr (2n = 100) in which it was formerly included'. I don't know in what year(s) these labels were typed.
