notes: | Place is probably Antony, in southeast Cornwall, though spelt Anthony, the other Anthony place names in Cornwall are St Anthony. Three other specimens on the sheet were collected in the southeast part of Cornwall on that date so this Anthony is most likely to be Antony. |

N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names. Log-in to edit this sheet.

Just had a look at the (many) specimens on this sheet. The writing associated with some of the specimens is that of A Ley, however, it looks as though some of them were passed on to him by 'WHJ'. If you look at these initials, then I think that they might be read as WHP - William Hunt Painter - see http://herbariaunited.org/wiki/William_Hunt_Painter ; whose name is often associated with A Ley (it is not WHP's handwriting - but Ley's)
There is one specimen on the sheet from WHP - which probably reads "near the Menai suspension Bridge".
The specimen from Deal (4/6/1870) may read (Prof) J F Duthie.
The one dated 19 May 1876, could be read as Rame Head - this appears on the pop-up menu for place names OS Grid reference SX415485
Lugger's Cave (10th July, 1888) is located near Sharrow Point OS Grid reference SX395525 .
hope this helps
Regards
