N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I have chosen 'Coppice' rather then 'wood' as on the sheet as in this context they could be interchangable.
Also there is a word and number that I cannot relate to towns, county's etc.

Sellack is where Ley collected many specimens - see for example http://herbariaunited.org/sheets/BIRM/14865.jpg
which references tillage at Caradoc Farm, Sellack.

OS Grid reference SO560274

Dear Chris
Oh! that was an S!
I am starting to not take things at face value and try letters that seem totally wrong.
I hope I improve as I really find this fascinating.

The codes after the site name on Augustin Ley's sheet refer to the botanical divisions of Herefordshire, which are listed in his Flora. In this case it says "D 2" - but it's a very stylised 2.
