N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Place name could read Selly [oak] but feel it more likely to be Sully, any views?

if the date is 1878, then it might have been collected by William West (senior) - his two sons (William and George followed in his 'footsteps'). Sadly William (junior) died at a fairly young age.
Think the place might be Selby as William (Senior) collected a lot around Bradford / Yorkshire etc.

Thanks, it is difficult to know what to put at times as it any information needs to be as right as possibly, one wonders if the collectors had known [I would have thought they would] there work would be important in the future they would have taken pains with details.
