N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Hi Quentin,
sorry to have been so slow to reply. I'm not sure currently how the number should be entered. With most of the accession numbers (e.g. 30-07-nnnnn) one of the two digit codes is the year of accession (probably 1930 for the example). I need to check with Bolton to find out how more recent codes should be entered. Until then, please just skip the accession field for anomalous sheets - the system will show an error warning, but that can be ignored - I'll go back and correct any missing numbers later.

regards,

Tom
