N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

any ideas re site? I pretty sure that it says 'Halford Mill Ponds' there was a Halford Mill on the R. Stour, but that was in Warwickshire . . .

I can't find a Cheshire 'Halford', only in Warwickshire or Shropshire.

J. L. Warren (?? John Byrne Leicester Warren, Baron de Tabley) was born in Cheshire but moved South, dying on the Is. of Wight in 1895. The other specimens we've got online so far are no help either.
