Is this not the area around Grade hamlet at SW 710 141 - The parish for the Eastern Lizard is Grade-Ruan on the OS and the various old maps have GRADE overprinted across the area of the Grade / Grada church. However its a remarkably flat (only ranging between 60-80m) to rate the description of "Down" and I can't spot mention of a Down, Hill, Ridge etc around there on any of the maps! Mike d'A

Thanks for looking Mike, I did have a look at some maps but as you say couldn't find anything that looked like it might fit
