N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

The collector, Mrs Sargant, is possibly Jane Alice Sargant nee Smith (1790-1869), a native of Whittlesea, Cambs., and favourite sister of Sir Harry Smith Bt., hero of the Peninsular War and husband of his Spanish bride after whom the eponymous Ladysmith, SA, was named.

Mrs Sargant kept a school at Clapton Square, Hackney, and was a prolific author of religious and political tracts, etc.
