'Streetmap' has Stony Ridge in 2 Yorks. localities, both Rocky; S W of Sheffield by A625 across Totley Moor; and one lonely spot on Stackdale Moor in the Cleveland Hills - no roadside there (nor woods), so I choose the former - just in Yorks. Hardy collected across the County.
