I can't comment on the id but I think that these two Carices and also http://herbariaunited.org/atHomeForm/?release=0dd07154f00510c63877679fbe5652d8&edit=254866 are all from Norway as referred to in a note on that sheet. Where in Britain could one find a flat boggy place at 4000'?! (Jerken [Hjerkinn], Dovrefjeld, Norway) see also http://www.archive.org/stream/norwayswedendenm00karl/norwayswedendenm00karl_djvu.txt

If this specimen is not from the British Isles it opens up a wider range of possibilities. If it is, we are restricted to the Cairngorm or Ben Nevis range for a site. Difficult to go any further in the identifications without knowing whether there are 2 or 3 stigmas. It looks like C.nigra group, but at that elevation, it could be looking atypical.
