I could not say which Hawthornden is meant - PBM made a few collections in both Co Durham and Midlothian, but I did not find any from Hawthornden. JH Balfour collected a plant from the former in 1838, several people from Midlothian, the only one I have seen near in date is Frederick Morgan Webb 1876.
