N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

can this be safely attributed to one of the Bensons; Herb. and/or collector?

Yes, as ex herb, probably also collector, but am not absolutely certain of the collector.

I would be happy to attribute it to Richard Benson. It is in his herbarium, and he hasn't attributed it to anyone else. Normal practice should be to list him as collector unless there is some evidence to the contrary.

To me there is no advantage in creating an aggregate "Benson." This is R de G's specimen and the ID is his. Someone else might conceivably have been with him or picked it, but so what?
