Particularly as it has been through so many hands.
Bexhill, 1842, but there is a ? against Ranking on the original sheet below the label, so probably not the collector. Writtten by Dennes, do you think?

I never knew the letter 'x' could be written illegibly. Ranking could have been the collector: he was a Hastings physician.
