A presumed derivative of Dryopteris affinis x D. expansa, formerly found at Loch Lomond and Galway, this taxon is now extinct in the British Isles.

The note "Chatford form" does not necessarily mean that this specimen was collected at Chatford.

I'm fairly sure this is not a Dryopteris at all, but Polystichum aculeatum.
