N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I read it as 'Haloseris?' - a name which rings a bell but which I can't readily match as one of the old names of anything. I think there's a crib-list of old genus & species names, but don't know where.

Tried searching this word in Oxford English dictionary and they don't appear to know it, may be one of those things that will remain a mystery!

Haloscias. Ley evidently thought this plant was Lovage.
