fruits beginning to appear (far left - suggests the drawing is from a book, not the plant?). The determination (?) has been made by 'F R' (undated). The date of the Keswick specimen would be very early for Heath, so collector undecided.

The earliest collection on the system is 1892 - unequivocally Heath's - and there are several from then to 1896. I would say it is his non-label handwriting!

Would F R not be F Robinson who collected with DMH? I can't find anything about him though as Desmond on-line stops at P!
