Is it just a coincidence? - there is a Benhall near Bridstow, with what looks like a pool at
OS Grid reference SO589249
- not a million miles from Sellack where the 9 year old Augustin was living and being educated?

I think you are right about Benhall. That would suggest that the collector was Purchas, though it's not his handwriting.
