N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

County unspecified but as Heath was in Monsal Dale on 8th and Thirsk/NE Yorks/Co Durham on 13th, I have gone for this midway option but may be NE Yorks?

I agree with Sarah. Hambleton is only a couple of miles from Thirsk so this record is most likely vc62 N E Yorks. It looks as if he was visiting Miss Rob at the time; see http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/255433/?image

Many thanks. Have edited sheet and thought about putting a note on Collectors forum, but have no idea how you reached the conclusion you did on the Dianthus sheet http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/255433/ other than insider knowledge!

Inside knowledge led me too far. I have edited the Dianthus (q.v.).
