N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I think this is misnamed on the form: Orobanche seems to be correct, as Mr Benson said!

Thanks for highlighting this, the mistake was due to an admin error when the sheet was loaded.

Hi Keith,
Thanks for posting about this. The mistake was due to a transcription mistake when the sheet was loaded onto the database (the sheet was entered with a taxon catalog code '1191' instead of '1199').

In the future, if you encounter sheets like this again please feel free to correct the identification yourself on the documentation form. (Though it's useful still to post here, as I'd like to keep track of egregious mistakes like this - hopefully they're v. rare)

With more recent batches of sheets (e.g. those from Aberystwyth), there was more cross-checking as the sheets were uploaded, so errors of this type will be unlikely to happen.

regards,

Tom
