After gazing, I read it not as Herefordshire, but Islay House. Not feeling optimistic, I entered this on Streetmap, and found it is the prominent building of Bridgend, near Bowmore on the Isle of Islay! 'Strand' I think is in keeping with this species; Islay House faces onto salt marsh. Ley made extensive visits round the Highlands.
