N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

"Kentchurch Avenue" is the avenue leading to Kentchurch Court, seat of the Scudamores, a family descended from Normans who were pre-Conquest settlers and prominent in local (marcher) politics since before the Tudors. Lucy Scudamore (nee Brydges) was the sister of Sarah who married George Bentham (of Bentham and Hooker fame). In the 1840s the Benthams lived nearby at Pontrilas until his herbarium grew too large to manage outside Kew, and they moved to London.
