Most likely since on same date he collected from adjacent Falls of Clyde

Yes! The web page for Bonnington Linn (OS NS883405) lists images with variations 'Bonnington/Bonington/Bonniton' & 'Lin/Linn/Lynn', a waterfall in a wooded valley above the Clyde. An image search for Bonniton Lynn returns numerous antique sketches, suggesting this is an old form of the name.
