N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

This is a wierd label. I have not seen @ used on any H@H labels before. Ley did stray beyond our shores that year but in the opposite direction (Tyrol - http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/261206/ ). I don't think it says Pau though; maybe glauca or flacca but I haven't found any record of such a taxon; Ley often noted that a specimen was 'near' a related similar plant. Hm....

Yes I did wonder if @ was just something that had crept in and had no meaning, I never remember [Not that counts for much!] seeing it much before computers and the web came into fashion.
I did do a couple of, I think Ley's some months ago from northern France Brittany area, Pau is a fair way south and west of us.
Will leave things and see if I get more comments.
Chris

Looking at it again, I see 'St B' (= Dr Gustavus A Ornano St Brody ?) and 'waste ground near Glou' which would be a typical location for him, if @ is his abbreviation for the rest of Gloucester. It is not Ley's handwriting, so not collected by him.

On comparison, I see this is indeed St Brody's handwriting, http://herbariaunited.org/collector/15039/ - so I have entered Gloucester as the site
