cf http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/213040/ which places Pennington in vc 69 at SD27 (the documenter's arbitrary choice?). Holt is known to have collected mosses in the Lake District; however he was a Pharmacist in Manchester and it is not inconceivable that this Pennington is that in vc 59 at SJ69 Leigh near Manchester.

Thank you. I have gone for the logical one and put it in Pennington, Leigh. I agree that the other sheet is likely to be an arbitrary choice. He seems to have been active in Cheshire at around that time.
