Over the past week many of you will have had problems getting new sheets to work on. I had been away for a week and had misjudged how many sheets where remaining and had underestimated the amazing rate at which specimens were being documented. Consequently (and despite some misleading stats to the contrary), for many users the system ran out of specimen images.

When I returned on Sunday I tried to apply a temporary fix to alleviate the problem, but this only delayed the inevitable and by today sheets were exhausted again.

I've now uploaded a new batch of Birmingham specimens and plan to add additional Bolton specimens tomorrow. There will also hopefully be a new batch of Charterhouse School (GOD) sheets soon, and if things go according to plan I hope to be able to start uploading images from a new museum collection later this month. The remaining BIRM and Bolton sheets will also go online this month.

I'm sorry about all the recent problems, thank you to everyone who emailed me to let me know that things had gone awry.

regards,

Tom
