N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I find the "notes" confusing it appears to say as quoted above, but, unless Ley means Aylmer Bourke Lambert which seems a bit odd?

The handwriting is Rogers's so they are his comments. Stapleford is in Wiltshire; "Original plants from Great Ridge Wood". Aylmer Bourke Lambert (1761-1842) was the first person to discover Cirsium tuberosum in GB (at Boyton, Wilts).
