N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I changed the date from 1935 (typed label) to 1835 - (which would make it possible to have come from Prof G S West's collection.

I'm afraid you have been the victim of the person who typed the modern label, who as usual in such cases has created errors; and how a West label at top, and a D M Heath label at bottom got onto the same sheet is wierd - a mix-up I haven't seen before. From experience, the handwriting, date (1935) and corner of Church Times are Heath's. The typed label is unreliable for site, and in fact a search shows that in this month Heath was in Wales, so the site could be Stanner, Radnorshire - this must remain uncertain until someone finds a companion sheet; however Heath's label reads Stanner not 'Stanmer'. I feel Heath's label is authentic enough to discount West, who in any case lived 1876 - 1919. Phew!
