N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I suspect this species is Frangula alnus. Unable to identify site. Label written by C O Groom (alias Prince of M&M)

I've had a look at Poland and also at the ones in my garden, and the obvious character against your theory is the minutely denticulate leaf margins which accord with E. europaeus. Hard to do on a photo. Smile

A feature of Euonymus is the corky ridges on the twigs - which I do not see on these specimens.

Only on >(2)3-year-old wood? But I do agree the flowers look more like F. alnus!

I am beginning to think this is a mixed collection and we are both right! The top two have all the chars, of E europaeus and the bottom one has shorter less acuminate lvs with entire margins and the fls of F alnus!
Just a thought! Confused
