John Edwards Griffith 18/6/1843-4/7/1933, wrote "The Pedigrees of Caernarvonshire and Anglesey Families" (1914) and appears in Welsh Biographies Online with no mention of 'Fellowships'. According to Community Trees JEG junior records his father in "The Pedigrees", also John Edwards Griffith, as Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and FLS.
Most JEG h@h specimens 1874-1928, but one, 201875 dated 1846 (MANCH no image). Is this last from JEG senior, and thus should there be two collectors 'JEG senior, FRAS FLS', and 'JEG junior'?
Database currently has just John Edwards Griffith FRAS 18/6/1843-4/7/1933! |

The 1846 specimen is ex herb Charles Bailey whose practice was to affix his own (transcribed) labels, not the originals, so were there an error it would not be possible to know.
NMW has no specimens attributed to Griffith pater. |
