Although 'Hope' is part of a number of Heref place-names, I cannot find this site specifically.

The brook running through Longhope is known as the Hope Brook. In Purchas & Ley's 'Flora of Herefordshire' Longhope is in District 2 which is the only district shown for this taxon in that Flora.
