N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Surely it says Osier holt, Boggy Braes. I suspect a house name, not having managed to locate the site. Ley has no other Leics collections currently on H@H for that year. so no clues there. His Leics visits were numerous & widespread, so I made no further attempt to narrow down.

Thank you - it confirms my own thoughts. I just wondered whether (because of his numerous visits) he had friends at some house of such a name Smile

"Boggy Braes" appears on another Ley specimen - http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/306080/ but which adds "Ashby Parva": There is a Boggy Brays farm just to the NE of which at SP542891 but annotated only on the 1:50,000 scale and 1:2,500 OS scale maps... Reckon must be the same. Amended.
